Bessa Machado Lda ("Bessa Machado", "we") is the data controller for personal data submitted through this website. This notice explains what we collect, why, and for how long.
What we collect
Only what you type into the contact form: your name, your company, your email address, your telephone number, the subject you select and your message. We also record the date and time of the submission, the language version of the site you used, and the IP address the submission came from.
Why we collect it
To read your enquiry and reply to it, and to keep a record of the correspondence. The IP address is recorded only to limit automated abuse of the form. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our work, under Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation.
What we do not do
We do not use analytics or tracking of any kind. We set no cookies. We load no third-party scripts. We send no automatic acknowledgement. We do not build a profile of you, we do not use your data for marketing, and we do not sell, rent or share it with anyone for their own purposes.
Where it is held
On our web host’s servers within the European Union, in a database that only the management can read. It is not transferred outside the European Economic Area.
How long we keep it
Twenty-four months from our last contact with you, after which the record is deleted.
Your rights
You may ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to our holding it. Write to geral@bessamachado.com and we will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Comissão Nacional de Proteção de Dados, the Portuguese supervisory authority, at cnpd.pt.
Changes
If this notice changes, the revised version will be published on this page with a new date.
